Jaye Jacks – Physiotherapist
Jaye Jacks qualified as a physiotherapist at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007. After working in more conventional Physiotherapy practices, Jaye realised that there may be other methods of helping patients heal in a more holistic environment. She then joined Professor Berger in her Physiotherapy practice in 2011 where she was then able to fulfil her ideals of developing treatments that involve both pain management and
In 2013 Jaye’s work ethic of using targeting electrotherapy, dry needling techniques, specific exercise therapy and helping and caring for her patients was highly successful and not only satisfied her search in this direction but lead her to be invited to become a valued Partner in Professor Berger’s practice. Jaye has also participated in a research project in the Practice that was subsequently published in an International Journal (2014).
As Jaye says “I really love to help and understand people and facilitate their journey out of pain”. Her other special interest is Adaptive Pilates -this exercise programme gently assists patients in enabling them to exercise and strengthen despite their pain. Jaye enjoys seeing patients heal with movement and therefore improved function in their daily lives.
